Fiesta BowlOn January 1st , the University of Connecticut (Uconn) Huskies play the Oklahoma Sooners in the 40th Annual Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. From January 3rd through the 9th, Scottsdale is having a festival of sorts at the Scottsdale Waterfront before the Auburn Tigers and the Oregon Ducks play on January 10th at the University of Phoenix Stadium.

Here are a couple things to look for when you visit Scottsdale during the next few weeks:

  1. $2 Tailgate Party: The $2 Tailgate Party will take place from January 3-7. On January 3-4, the party starts at 11:00 am and ends at 7:00 pm, and on January 5-7, it begins at 11:00 am and ends at 7:00 pm. A variety of foods from participating restaurants (Petite Maison, Heirloom, Eddie’s House, Marcellino Ristorante, Mission, Metro, The Herb Box, Culinary Dropout, Tapas Papa Frita, FnB, P.F. Chang’s and Dos Gringos) will be available for only $2.
  2. Bud Light Fiesta: The Bud Light Fiesta overlaps with the $2 Tailgate Party lasting from January 6-9. It starts at 4:00 pm and ends at 9:00 pm on January 6.  On the other three days, it starts at 11:00 am and ends at 9:00 pm. There will be BCS merchandise available, football-themed games, an ESPN demo field and food and beverage gardens. Admission is free.
  3. Live ESPN Broadcasts: Live ESPN broadcasts will take place January 3-7. There will be broadcasts every day from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, and on January 3rd and 4th, there will also be broadcasts from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Visit Scottsdale and you might just end up on national television.
