Life in Scottsdale and Phoenix is exciting throughout the year, but it’s especially so around Labor Day, because there are so many great ways for couples and families to spend their time. Here are a few examples of great events and activities to enjoy this year:
First Friday. Get the long Labor Day weekend started off right and chill out a bit before diving in. You’ll find plenty of great food in local Phoenix and Scottsdale restaurants, cafes and taverns. Afterwards, take it easy and check out some art at a great local gallery.
Wet ‘N Wild. Families visiting Phoenix and Scottsdale this time of year definitely need to beat the heat. Head to Wet ‘N Wild for one last splash before summer’s gone. Take advantage of end-of-season discount tickets, play all day on water slides and raft rides and check out the fireworks at dusk.
Hollywood & Wine Finale at the Arizona Biltmore. For a nice summer sendoff, take in a performance by The Fab Faux, one of the greatest Beatles cover bands around. The Hollywood & Wine Finale is all about that one last touch of summer fun, and it’s the perfect event for you and your sweetheart.
Outdoor Day Trips. Visit South Mountain Park or Papago Park and check out some really great Arizona scenery. Better yet, pack up the family and drive out to Grand Canyon National Park, where you’ll spend the day taking photos and making memories that will last a lifeftime. There are hiking tours suitable for families as well as trips all the way down to the bottom for the more adventurous types.
Labor Day events in the Phoenix area will leave you satiated, energized and happy. Life in Scottsdale and Phoenix for visitors and residents is fun this time of year, and planning the perfect weekend is simple. Just look around!
